How long does a Beko washing machine last?
A Beko washing machine can last for 10 years. Beko offers a 5-year warranty which means they have confidence that their washing machine will last that long. However, the individual life of a washing machine will depend on how it’s used and maintained.
Beko has a 5-year, manufacturing warranty, a 10-year parts only, and a compressor motor warranty. 10 years is the standard life of a washing machine.
Given the many possible variables, there really is no definitive answer to this question.
Energy rating
Energy ratings are measurements of how much energy is used, and how much water is consumed. The energy rating is a set of standards set up by the industry that must be upheld in order to receive the certification. Beko has a few machines that are energy and water efficient and have earned 4 Star ratings.
As of March 2021, Beko has introduced a new system of rating washing machines and added a few more options to the list of energy rating values. The label will contain the following sections and the (New).
- Scale of energy efficiency classes (A-G)
- Weighted energy consumption in kWh per 100 cycles (New)
- Rated capacity in kg
- Weighted water consumption in litres per cycle (New)
- Duration of the “Eco 40-60” program at rated capacity (New)
- Spin efficiency class
- Noise level during the spin cycle in dBA*** and noise emission class (New)
¹ Washing Machine Energy Rating Option
1. – Scale of Energy Class
Washing machines are rated from A to G, A being the most efficient and G being the least efficient. This will replace the A+, A++, and A+++ systems.
2. – Weighted Energy Consumption (kWh/year)
This is a calculation of the energy that will be used annually, based on different load sizes and the number of times per week the washing machine is used. Individual washing habits will affect this number but this would be a good assumption of the yearly cost.
3. – Drum Capacity (kg)
The size of the load will affect the annual energy rating, and the kg size is noted on the new label. The larger loads would take more power to wash, therefore the ratings would be different in this category.
4.- Annual water consumption (L/year)
Water consumption will also be estimated based on the cost of water, and an estimated number of loads and sizes, full and partial loads, and added to the new energy rating label.
5.- Duration of the ‘ECO 40-60’ Programme
The idea of this programme setting is to use less water and energy to clean clothes that have a normal amount of soil.
6.-Spin drying efficiency (A to G)
How efficiently a reliable washing machine spin-dries your clothes will also be on the new label. An A-G rating will be used. The A mark is where the clothes are coming out of the machine as dry as possible.
7. – Noise levels during washing and spinning (dB)
Decibel levels and readings are taken during the wash cycle and the spin cycle and the levels will be indicated on the new energy rating label. Different models will have different ratings and levels of noise.
